Last updated June 26th, 2024

New

Common device list

Starting with the 24.06 release, you can now see a consolidated list of all devices registered across your Knox services. To go to this list, click Devices in the bottom-left corner of the Knox Admin Portal navigation pane.

The list offers advanced search, sort, and filtering capabilities. If you need to perform device actions, you can also navigate to service-specific device lists from this list.

For more information, see View and manage devices.

New console for Knox Manage

To provide a more streamlined Knox Manage experience, a new console is now available. For the 24.06 release, this new console offers core Knox Manage functionality to administer Android devices and better integration with the Knox Admin Portal.

By default, you’ll see the original console on the Knox Admin Portal’s left navigation pane. If you’re the super admin for your enterprise, you can change your preferred Knox Manage console in the Knox Admin Portal settings.

For an introduction to the new console, see About the new console.

Role-based access control for Knox Remote Support

If you’re a super admin, you can now control access to the Knox Remote Support console by providing granular permissions to sub-admins. Only super admins and admins with permission to access the console can see information related to Knox Remote Support in the Knox Admin Portal.

When creating a Knox Remote Support role, you can select whether admins with that role can:

  • View or manage the Knox Remote Support device list

  • Start a remote support session automatically, or after the device user consents

  • View or control the device screen during the session

Support for trial Knox Configure Accessory licenses

Starting with the 24.06 release, you can generate a trial license for Knox Configure Accessory, to try out the service for 90 days on up to 30 devices.

To get the trial license:

  1. On the Knox Admin Portal navigation pane, click Licenses.

  2. Click ACTIONS, then Get a license.

  3. Under Generate free trial license, select Knox Configure Accessory (Staggered).

  4. Click GENERATE TRIAL LICENSE.

You’re then able to see your trial license on the Licenses page. See Manage Knox licenses for more details.
