Manage resellers

Last updated November 19th, 2025

Overview

Samsung-approved, trusted resellers are companies that can use the Samsung Knox Reseller Portal to upload large device fleets to your account and can support out-of-box provisioning of the devices. Typically, the devices are verified in bulk using either a device IMEI or serial number, ensuring frictionless out-of-box device provisioning.

The Resellers page in the Knox Admin Portal lists your registered resellers across all Knox cloud services (not supported for Knox Manage and Knox Guard). It also shows information about the resellers, such as location, registration date, enrollment profiles, and specific settings for the Knox cloud services they manage.

When you click Resellers from any service console, such as the Knox Mobile Enrollment or Knox E-FOTA console, you are redirected to the Resellers page on the Knox Admin Portal.

Access permissions

You’ll need the following permissions to perform actions on the Resellers page.

Task Permission
View resellers Common > Resellers > View-only or Manage resellers
Manage reseller preferences Common > Devices > Manage devices > Manage reseller preferences for devices
Register a reseller Common > Resellers > Manage resellers > Register
Delete a reseller Common > Resellers > Manage resellers > Delete

Register a reseller

The overall process for registering a reseller is as follows:

  1. Find a local reseller. You can view all Samsung approved, trusted resellers at https://www.samsungknox.com/resellers.

  2. Ask the reseller for their Knox Reseller ID.

You can also share your customer ID with the reseller.

Resellers register customers in the Reseller Portal using their customer ID. Once registered, they can begin uploading devices for you.

  3. Click Resellers on the Knox Admin Portal navigation pane. The Resellers page opens to show a list of all resellers registered in your account.

  4. Click Register reseller. The Register reseller dialog opens and displays your customer ID that you must share with the reseller.

  5. Enter Knox Reseller ID of the reseller you wish to add, and click Find reseller. The reseller’s name and location display in the dialog.

  6. Verify the information to confirm that it’s the right reseller and click Register.

The registered reseller’s information displays on the Resellers page. You can now set reseller preferences to automate actions for the devices uploaded by the reseller, such as auto-approval of all future device uploads.

When you add a reseller, the registered reseller will be able to view you as a customer in the Reseller Portal and upload and provision devices on your behalf.

Conversely, if a reseller first adds your Customer ID to their Reseller Portal, you can view the reseller in the Knox Admin Portal only after they upload devices on your behalf.

Manage reseller preferences

After registering a reseller, you can use the Manage reseller preferences page to automate actions for the devices that the resellers upload. You can configure the following:

  • Auto-approve the devices uploaded by your reseller.
  • Auto-assign default enrollment profile, campaign, and licenses to uploaded devices for Knox Mobile Enrollment, Knox E-FOTA, Knox Asset Intelligence, Knox Configure, and Samsung Care+ for Business.
  • Share up to 10 enrollment profiles with resellers for use with device uploads. If applied, they override any default profiles.

To set up reseller preferences:

  1. On the Resellers page, click on the reseller’s name and ID. The Manage reseller preferences page displays reseller details and options to configure enrollment profiles and enrollment settings for your Knox cloud services.

  2. To auto-approve uploaded devices, click the Automatically add future uploads from this reseller to the common device list toggle to turn it on. This enables options to set default profiles and campaigns, auto-assign licenses, and share additional enrollment profiles with the reseller.

  3. To automatically apply an enrollment profile to uploaded devices, choose an enrollment profile in the Assign default enrollment profile drop-down.

    • Settings for Knox Configure and Samsung Care+ for Business are not included in the default enrollment profile.
    • If you use Knox E-FOTA, you must also assign a campaign to apply firmware updates.
  4. To provide your reseller access to additional enrollment profiles, click Add another profile in the Enrollment profiles for your reseller section, select an enrollment profile, and provide it an alias for the reseller to use.

    • You can share up to 10 enrollment profiles with your reseller.
    • Resellers can override a default enrollment profile with one of the profiles you share with them.
  5. If you use Knox E-FOTA, you can also auto-assign a default campaign to apply firmware updates to uploaded devices. To do so, choose an option from the Knox E-FOTA default campaign drop-down.

  6. If you use Knox Configure, you can configure the following additional settings:

    • To auto-assign a Knox Configure profile and a license to the uploaded devices, choose from the Knox Configure profile drop-down and the License drop-down.

    • To provide your reseller access to additional Knox Configure profiles, click Assign another profile, select a profile and a license, and provide an alias for the reseller to use. You can share up to 10 profiles with your reseller.

  7. If you use Samsung Care+ for Business, you can automatically apply a license to uploaded devices. To do so, select Automatically assign Samsung Care+ for Business license to devices and select a license from the table.

    • You can select one license for a device model.
    • Ensure that the selected license has sufficient license seats available. For more information, see Manage licenses.
  8. Click Save.

When the reseller uploads devices for your enterprise, the devices are auto-approved and configured as per the settings you specified.

Delete a reseller

If you no longer work with a registered reseller, you can delete them from the common resellers list on the Resellers page.

  1. Click the reseller’s name and ID on the Resellers page. The Manage reseller preferences page displays.

  2. Click Delete reseller at the bottom of the page. The Delete reseller dialog displays.

  3. Click Delete.

Note that you can delete a reseller only if there are no pending device uploads.

If you don’t have the permission to manage reseller preferences, you won’t be able to view or modify settings on the Manage reseller preferences page, but can still delete the reseller from the page.
