Registration failed during new admin registration

Overview

When attempting to register a new admin on Knox Admin portal, account registration may fail during the setup process. The new admin receives an invitation to register, but when they click the registration link, a Registration Failed pop-up error displays on the Samsung Knox agreements page.

Cause

New admin registration may fail when mandatory information fields are missing or improperly filled in the super admin’s profile.

Resolution

As the super admin, ensure your account has all required information filled so new admins can register successfully.

To update the mandatory fields:

  1. Sign in to Samsung Knox using your super admin account.
  2. Click your profile icon in the top-right corner.
  3. Select My Account from the dropdown menu. The My account page opens.
  4. Click the ACCOUNT INFORMATION tab, then complete any missing required fields and edit any incorrect information.
  5. Click SAVE.

After correcting the missing or incorrect required fields, instruct the new admin to click the registration link from their original invitation email to complete account registration.
