Overview
With Samsung account for Business, there are two ways a password can be reset: location manager-initiated reset or self-service password reset. Location managers can reset passwords for any user within their organization, while individual users can reset their own passwords using the self-service option.
How to reset a Samsung account for Business password as a location manager
- On the Samsung account for Business portal, sign in with your location manager credentials.
- On the Users dashboard, enter the name, account ID, domain, or email of the user whose password you need to reset in the search bar.
- Click at the end of the target user’s row. A dropdown menu appears.
- On the dropdown menu, click Reset password. The Reset password dialog displays.
- (Optional) Click Sign this user out of all devices to ensure that user must sign in again with their new password.
- Click Reset. A confirmation message appears, indicating that the reset email has been sent.
- The affected user receives a password reset email from Samsung. When the user clicks Reset password, the Verify your identity page opens.
- On the Verify your identity page, the user can click Send Code to receive an email with a verification code.
How to reset your own Samsung account for Business password as a user
- Go to the Samsung account for Business portal and click Sign in.
- Enter your Samsung account email address, then click Next.
- Click Forgot password. The Verify your identity page displays.
- On the Verify your identity page, click Send Code to receive an email with a verification code.
After receiving the password reset email
Once a verification code has been sent, users can:
- Check their inbox for a password reset email from Samsung, which contains the verification code. If they don’t see an email from Samsung in their inbox within five minutes, they should check their spam folder.
- On the Verify your identity page, enter the verification code from the email, then click Verify.
- On the Reset password page, enter and confirm their new password, then click Confirm.
After resetting their password, the user can sign in with their updated credentials.
