Overview

Starting with Android 14 (One UI 6.0), the Auto Blocker feature was introduced to protect Galaxy devices and data. This feature prevents the installation of apps from unauthorized sources, and blocks malicious activity on a device.

From One UI 6.1.1, Auto Blocker is set to On by default and can be configured during the setup wizard.

For devices updating to One UI 6.1.1 and higher, if the Auto Blocker feature was previously configured, the setting remains unchanged.

Auto Blocker exceptions for enterprise devices

For fully managed devices and company-owned devices with a work profile, device users can install enterprise-specific apps even if the Auto Blocker feature is enabled on the device.

For other devices with a work profile, device users must disable the Auto Blocker feature in the device settings before installing enterprise-specific apps:

  1. On the device, go to Settings.
  2. Tap Security and Privacy > Auto Blocker.
  3. Turn off the Auto Blocker setting.
