Overview

In the event that you can’t remember your Samsung account credentials, you have the option to reset your password.

How to reset your Samsung account password without two-step verification enabled

If you don’t have two-step verification enabled on your account, you can reset your password by sending an Email verification:

  1. In your web browser, go to the Samsung Account Reset password page.

  2. Enter your Samsung account email address and click Reset password.

  3. Select an email address to send the password reset request. Click Continue to send the email.

    If you don’t see an email from Samsung in your inbox within 5 minutes, check your spam folder.

  4. In the resulting email from Samsung, click Reset password.

  5. Enter and confirm your new password in your web browser.

  6. Click Next.

After the password resets, you can sign in with your updated credentials.

How to reset your Samsung account password with two-step verification enabled

If your account has two-step verification enabled, you can reset your account with the following methods:

  • Verify with account ID
  • Verify with recovery number or email
  • Verify with security question

First, enter your two-step verification phone number:

  1. On the Reset password screen, enter your Samsung account email address.
  2. Click Reset password.
  3. Enter your two-step verification phone number, including the country code.
  4. Click Continue.

Then, use one of the following methods to reset the password.

  1. Select your account, then click Continue.
  2. An email is sent to your Samsung account email address. In the email, click Reset password.
  3. Enter and confirm your new password.
  4. Click Next.

  1. Click Verify with recovery number or email.
  2. Select Recovery phone number, then click Continue.
  3. Verify your date of birth, then click Continue.
  4. Select your recovery number, then click Send code.
  5. When your device receives the text, enter the verification code.
  6. Click Verify.
  7. Enter and confirm your new password.
  8. Click Next.

  1. Click Verify with recovery number or email.
  2. Select Recovery email, then click Continue.
  3. An email is sent to your Samsung account email address. After receiving the email, click Reset password.
  4. Enter and confirm your new password.
  5. Click Next.

  1. Click Verify with security question.
  2. Answer the security question, then click Verify.
  3. Enter and confirm your new password.
  4. Click Next.
