Before using Knox Guard, several prerequisites permissions and privileges are required:
Create a Samsung account
A Samsung account must be available, along with a Knox Portal account, for each Knox Guard user. Only one Email address is permitted per Samsung account, and the Email address should be unique to each user.
To create a Samsung account:
- Navigate to the Samsung account page. For more information, go to: Create a Samsung account.
- Enter your Email ID, create your account Password, then Confirm Password, accurately provide your First Name, Last Name, Date of Birth and Zip Code. Select I'm not a robot and answer the displayed security questions.
- Select the Next button at the bottom of the page to proceed. An Account verified screen displays, stating you have successfully signed up for a Samsung account.
- Select the Start button to login to your new Samsung account.
Register for a Samsung Knox web portal account
To register for a Samsung Knox web portal account:
NOTE - Ports 443 and 80 must be open within your local network domain to reach Knox server resources.
- Go to www.samsungknox.com, and select Enroll from the top-right corner of the screen.
NOTE - A Samsung account is required to join Samsung Knox services

Enter your work email address and then select Next.
NOTE - Personal email accounts such as Gmail and Hotmail cannot be used for Knox accounts.
- Follow the steps below to enroll in the Samsung Knox Portal
- Once you enroll, the Dashboard will be shown as below
- Go to the Knox Guard page and click 'GET FREE TRIAL' and accept Terms and Conditions
- Once a KG Admin approves your request, the 'Pending' status will change to 'Launch'.
Launch the Knox Guard console
Once you acquire your Samsung account and Knox web portal permissions you need to send an E-mail to knoxguard@samsung.com and request Knox Guard permissions. Once your Knox Guard account has been confirmed by the Knox team you will be able to access the Knox Guard login field within the Knox dashboard.
NOTE - Currently, Knox Guard cannot be used with other Knox services like Knox Configure (KC) and Knox Mobile Enrollment (KME) with one account. A new account should be created exclusively for Knox Guard.
NOTE - Ports 443 and 80 must be open within your local network domain to reach Knox server resources.
- Log into the Samsung Knox Dashboard, and refer to the Knox Guard launcher under My Solutions.
- Select LAUNCH button from within the Knox Dashboard's Knox Guard field to access the console.
