Set up your device

Your device already has the latest Knox and Android firmware pre-installed. You need to do some additional setup.

Enable OTA firmware updates

Occasionally, we’ll update your device’s firmware over the air, to resolve critical issues that are blocking the test process. We are making these firmware updates using a device app called the Samsung UT (User Trial) Agent, which you need to install.

ATT and Verizon Wireless devices

1. Sign in to the Knox Partner Portal > Dashboard > SDKs download using your Samsung account.
2. Click the Download link next to Samsung UT Agent to get a ZIP package containing the app.
3. Launch the Samsung UT Agent.
4. Click UT Software update.
5. Install the software update now.

T-Mobile and Euro Open devices

We will share firmware binaries with you separately.

What not to do

To ensure that you’re getting all the latest firmware updates:

• Do not perform firmware updates through the device Settings > Software update > Auto download over Wi-Fi.
• Do not change the original Android version running on the device.
