Mute with gestures toggle
Last updated June 28th, 2024
With Knox Service Plugin, you can configure the Mute with gestures setting for your managed devices. If turned on, Mute with gestures lets device users mute incoming calls and alarms with gestures such as turning the phone face down, or putting their hand over the screen (only available on certain models).
You can also configure this setting to be disabled on the devices so that a device user can’t modify it, or hidden on the device screen so that device users can’t see it.
This setting is part of the Deep settings customization feature that’s available with a free Knox Platform for Enterprise Premium license on devices running Knox version 3.4 and higher.
To configure the Mute with gestures toggle in Knox Service Plugin:
- Go to Device and Settings customization profile > Configure values in settings menu, and add a setting menu configuration.
- For Name of the Setting item, select Advanced features > Motions and gestures > Mute with gestures.
- Configure Set value for the setting to toggle Mute with gestures on or off.
- (Optional) If you don’t want device users to change this setting, set Allow end-user modification of this setting to False.
- (Optional) If you want this setting to be hidden from device users, set Configure to hide settings to True.
