Unable to authenticate using Certificate-based Authentication on Samsung Email v6.1.30.30

Overview

After the Samsung Email app update to version 6.1.30.30, users are no longer able to authenticate to mail servers using any form of Certificate-based authentication (CBA) or Kerberos authentication. Users encounter the following error:

A security connection error has occurred

Resolution

The issue has been resolved in Samsung Email v6.1.31.2, which was released to Google Play on December 10, 2020.
