My device displayed a notification, "Unable to Perform Automatic Update?" What do I do?

Your device can automatically check for new security policy files every week. If you see this notice, you should perform a manual update to protect your device against the latest known threats. Make sure you have a network connection. Then tap Settings > General > Security > Check for updates.

If the update still fails, it may be due to a network connection error (try again later when you have a good data connection), a device setting (if you have selected the Via Wi-Fi only setting to update the policy, make sure Wi-Fi is connected), a device memory limitation (close all background apps or restart your device), or a policy file error (try again later).
