Why did my device display the notification, "Unable to Perform Automatic Update?"

All Samsung devices running the Knox framework.

[Summary] 
Your device can automatically check for new security policy files every week. If you see this notice, you should perform a manual update to protect your device against the latest known threats. Make sure you have a network connection. Then tap Settings > General > Security > Check for updates.

If the update still fails, it may be due to:
  • A network connection error (try again later when you have a good data connection),
  • A device setting (if you have selected the Via Wi-Fi only setting to update the policy, make sure Wi-Fi is connected),
  • A device memory limitation (close all background apps or restart your device),
  • A policy file error (try again later).
