How to force the Knox Remote Support Agent to run without an access code

Environment

  • Knox Manage (KM)
  • Knox Remote Support

Overview

When using the Knox Remote Support Agent, the user is prompted to enter a six digit access code given to them by the IT administrator. However, IT administrators can also bypass this access code through the Force Run feature in KM.

How do I force the Knox Remote Support Agent to run without needing the user to enter an access code?

If you want to bypass the Remote Support access code:

  1. In KM, in the sidebar, click Device.
  2. Select the device you want to run the Knox Remote Support Agent on, and click Knox Remote Support.
  3. In the dialog box that opens, select Force Run.

A prompt appears to run the Knox Remote Support Web Viewer, and you can then control the device.
