Overview

After uploading a certificate with no password to the Knox Manage console, some users might encounter an issue where they’re still prompted to enter a certificate password on the device. When tapping Cancel, the following error displays:

[ERROR][KMA_D9006]
User Certificate Installation failed
Issued user certificates cannot be installed on the device. Please contact your administrator to check the profile or certificate settings.

Cause

Currently, Knox Manage doesn’t have the option to upload the certificate without any password to the console. The Knox Manage agent requires a password even though the password field isn’t mandatory.

The Knox Manage team is aware of this constraint, and is currently working towards a fix.
