Device shows a permission error pop-up message while using some apps

A permission error message can be avoided by changing the app permission policy for the Android Enterprise manage type. Note that Internal Apps are not supported by the policy. To grant permission for Public Apps, perform the following steps:

  1. At the KM Admin Portal > Profile menu, choose a profile and click the Modify Policy button.
  2. At the Set Policy screen, move to Android Enterprise > Application.
  3. Set the App Permission to Grant for Device Controls and/or Work Profile Controls. If the policy is Deny or Prompt, App Permission Exception Policy List allows the exceptional apps.
  4. At the KM Admin Portal > Device menu, select devices, run Device Command > Device > Apply Latest Profiles.

Note that for some system apps, the "-" option for App Permission may be effective. Also, rebooting is useful in applying the changed policy to devices, for some cases.
