Control devices using Knox Manage

To control devices remotely with the Knox Remote Support Web Viewer on the KM console, complete the following steps:

  1. Go to Device.
  2. Select the device you want to control.
  3. Click Knox Remote Support. The Knox Remote Support window opens.
  4. Complete the following steps according to the device type:
    • For Android devices with a Work Profile or unenrolled devices, select the country code and enter the device phone number to send the access code.
    • For Android devices with other enrollment modes, and for enrolled devices, click an execution type that you want to use to start the Knox Remote Support Agent installed on the device:
      • Allowed by User — Runs the Knox Remote Support Agent only when the device user has allowed the app to be forcibly run.
      • Force Run — Run the Knox Remote Support Agent forcibly, regardless of whether the device user has allowed forced running of the app.
  5. Click Run.
  6. Instruct the device user to enter the access code on the device.
  7. Provide remote service to the device with the Knox Remote Support Web Viewer. For more information about the functions of the viewer, see Using the functions of the Knox Remote Support Web Viewer.
  8. Stop remote support by tapping End on the device screen or closing the Knox Remote Support Web Viewer.
    • You can click Disconnect on the viewer only to disconnect the connection with the device and not close the viewer.
  9. When remote support ends, the elapsed time shows in the Knox Remote Support Web Viewer and on your device.
