Knox Guard status flow

Once pending devices are activated into Knox Guard for subscription payment tracking, they proceed through the following overdue notification, reminder messaging, potential lock/unlock and payment completion statuses.

If a device is either rejected or is payment complete, it can be deleted from the Knox Guard console. Once deleted, the client (Knox Guard app) is uninstalled from the device. When deleted, the device is no longer tracked within the Knox Guard console.

A temporary Exchanging state can exist when an IMEI exchange is in process. An IMEI exchange may be needed in instances where a phone or tablet is exchanged with a new one with a different IMEI/SN, or when a defective device requires a new replacement board with a different IMEI. An Exchanging state cannot occur when a device is locked.

NOTE - The Overdue status state and its related information have been recently removed. Additionally, when a blink reminder is initiated for a payment delinquent device, an admin can now move directly to locking the device without releasing the blink reminder state. This helps reduce administration time by eliminating the need to place the device in an active state prior to initiating a device lock.

Once a device's payment status is updated to complete, the Knox Guard client is deactivated on the device. Once payment complete, the device can be safely deleted to stop the tracking of the device within the Knox Guard console.
