How to change a super admin in Samsung Knox Cloud Services
Environment
- Knox cloud services
Overview
This knowledge base article provides guidance on how to change the super admin for your Knox Cloud Services (KCS) tenant. The services under KCS are:
- Knox Configure
- Knox Mobile Enrollment
- Knox E-FOTA
- Knox Guard
- Knox Manage
- Knox Asset Intelligence
- Samsung Care+ for Business
- Knox Deployment Program
- Knox Managed Service Provider
These steps apply to KCS super admin changes only. To add another Knox Manage super admin, see Add an administrator in the Knox Manage admin guide.
How do I change my super admin in Knox cloud services?
First, ensure you meet these prerequisites:
-
The new super admin must be part of the same company tenant in KCS as the current super admin.
- If the user that you want to change the super admin to is already registered for Knox under a different company tenant, see the section below titled "What if the new super admin already has a Knox account under a different company tenant?"
-
The new super admin is registered for the same Knox services as your current super admin. For example, if your current super admin is registered for Knox Configure and Knox Mobile Enrollment, the new super admin must also be registered in those two services.
- See the section below for links to the guides on how to add an administrator for the different KCS services.
After meeting the above prerequisites, submit a support ticket from your Knox User Dashboard. Ensure you include the information below, along with any account access issues.

What if the new super admin already has a Knox account under a different company tenant?
If the user that you want to change the super admin to is already registered for Knox under a different company tenant, then we will need to:
- Delete the user from Knox, along with any KCS services that they have registered for.
- After deletion is complete the current super admin will need to make sure the user meets the prerequisites outlined in the section "How do I change my super admin in Knox Cloud Services?" above.
- Once the prerequisites are met, we can make the super admin change.
Submit a support ticket from your Knox dashboard. Ensure you include the information below, along with any account access issues.
Please confirm that you wish to have the new super admin user deleted from all KCS services so that they can be added to the correct company tenant.
