Add device groups from your EMM

You can add device groups to Knox E-FOTA One through your EMM. The device groups that you add are automatically synced from the EMM periodically every 6 hours. The following rules apply for devices you add from an EMM:

  • Any device deleted from the EMM is also deleted from Knox E-FOTA One.
  • Any device added to a device group in the EMM is automatically added to that device group in Knox E-FOTA One. Any enrollment or campaign policy that device group has is also applied to the newly added device.
  • Any device moved to a different device group in the EMM is also moved in Knox E-FOTA One. Any enrollment or campaign policy that new device group has is also applied to the newly moved device.
  • The type of group you can sync to Knox E-FOTA One differs depending on the EMM you're using. If you're using Knox Manage, you can sync device groups. If you're using VMware, you can sync smart groups.

This procedure describes how to connect to your EMM and select the device groups you want to sync with Knox E-FOTA One.

NOTE—This procedure assumes that you've performed the prerequisite procedure to obtain authentication information from your EMM.
