Manage licenses
After you sign up for a samsungknox.com account, you can proceed to obtain a Samsung Care+ for Business license.

When you're ready, you can contact a reseller in your region to purchase SCB licenses.
- Go to Buy from a reseller.
- Select your country from the drop-down menu.
- Check Samsung Care+ for Business for SOLUTIONS.
- The screen populates with available resellers for the Samsung Care+ for Business and your country. Select a listed reseller link for their contact and proceed to buy your license.

- Sign in to the Knox Admin Portal.
- Go to Licenses tab.
-
Click ACTIONS > Enter license key.
-
Enter a custom name for the license and the license key and click Add.
Assign license
License assignment requires approved devices present in your console, to buy devices see Manage resellers, and to approve devices, see Manage devices.
To assign a license:
- Sign in to the Knox Admin Portal.
- Go to Licenses tab.
- Select the license you want to assign and click ACTIONS > Assign license.
- Select the devices you want to assign.
- Click ASSIGN.
Unassign license
Devices only in the Active pending state can be unassigned. This can be done from either the Devices page’s Actions drop-down menu, or from the DEVICE DETAILS dialog box as shown.

License Policies
ADH, SP, and Combo (EW + ADH)
- License assignment can be done in a staggered manner, meaning you can assign license to devices as you receive and activate those devices. However, the license can only be assigned within the "License Assignment Period" or in other words, can only be assigned by license Assignment End Date. You can find this info in the License tab of the SCB console.
- Device must be eligible for license assignment.
- License Assignment is possible for Device with EULA accepted within the past 30 days (Device Eligible Period), where license assignment – EULA date =< 30 days. EULA date is the date when the device End User License agreement is accepted after turning on the device for the first time.
- EULA must be accepted before the end of license assignment period.
- Device Coverage Start date is the License Assignment Date. However, for some countries, it can be the later date between License Assignment Date and EULA Acceptance date. Please contact sales for the detailed policy.
EW (Extended Warranty)
- License assignment can be done in a staggered manner, meaning you can assign license to devices as you receive and activate those devices. However, the license can only be assigned within the "License Assignment Period" or in other words, can only be assigned by license Assignment End Date. You can find this info in the License tab of the SCB console.
- Device must be eligible for license assignment.
- License assignment is possible within Basic Warranty Period (Device Eligible Period), where license assignment – EULA date =< Basic Warranty Period. EULA date is the date when the device End User License agreement is accepted after turning on the device for the first time.
- EULA must be accepted before the end of license assignment period.
- Basic Warranty Period starts from EULA date.
- Device Coverage Start Date is EULA date + Basic Warranty (+ 1 day). The 1 day can be added or not depending upon the country. Please contact sales for the detailed policy.
License seat type (in SCB)
- Total— Number of seats the user purchased for a license key.
- Assigned— Number of seats the user tried to assign to devices, including Active and Active Pending.
- Active— Number of seats that are successfully consumed in the LMS License Protection System.
- Remaining— Number of seats subtracting Assigned seats from Total seats.

Note PC devices
Note PC devices can be activated in non-staggered manner meaning the coverage of all devices starts and ends together irrespective of when the user assigns the license to the devices. For these devices, use serial number for assignment as IMEI is not applicable.
The coverage start date is calculated based on the License Start Date as follows:
- Accidental Damage from Handling— License Start Date + 1 day
- Extended Warranty— License Start Date + Basic Warranty Period + 1 day
